Expression or exchanging views with others through words is known as oral communication. In-spite-of many advantages it has some limitations which are 11 described as follows:
1. Possibility of Dental
There may be denial of oral communication by the sender as well as by the receiver.
2. No legal validity
Oral message has no. validity in the eye of law if otherwise it is not recorded in compact disk (CD).
3. Scope is limited
In business communication, oral communication is not possible in all the cases.
4. No documentary evidence
In oral message have no documentary evidence.
5. Lack of secrecy
Sometimes it is very tough to keep secret. The communicator may disclose secret information in front of others carelessly.
6. Delay in decision making
Another important disadvantage of oral communication. At the time of delivering speech, the speaker spends a lot of fine, so it delays decision making process.
7. Problem in presentation
In oral communication speaker gives focus on attractive articulate speech. And this speech lessens the importance of main topics.
8. Others:
(a) Lack of understanding
(b) Chance of inaccuracy
(c) Time consuming
(d) Tough for distant people etc.
Conclusion: In fine it is clear that communication depends on an situation, in some -cases written is important & some cases oral is important.
